Rental conditions, in plain words.

Our conditions, in brief. The contract signed at the agency prevails.

01Price and deposit

The rental is charged at the current rate. Booked online: 50% when booking, 50% at pick-up.
A deposit is mandatory. The amount depends on the insurance excess; it is returned after the car is handed back.

Signing the contract means accepting it.
Keep the car in good working order, with its accessories and papers.
Fines and tickets during the rental are yours to pay.
The car comes with five tyres in good condition. A damaged tyre is replaced with one of the same brand and size; the same goes for any missing accessory.
Return the car with all its accessories at the agreed place and date. With no word from you 24 hours after the planned date, a car not returned is treated as a breach of trust.

Normal wear and tear is covered by YACA.
Repairs caused by abnormal wear, negligence or an accident are paid by the customer.
Repairs after an accident need YACA’s agreement and a detailed, paid invoice; replaced parts must be shown.
No compensation is due for delays, cancellation or downtime caused by wear.

Cars are insured for third-party liability, theft and fire, within the policy’s exclusions (articles 11, 16 and 24). A copy can be read at the agency.
Don’t discuss liability with a third party. If you are at fault, the excess and the insurer’s surcharges are yours to pay.

Theft: tell the agency straight away, report it to the police or gendarmerie, and return the papers and keys.
Accident with damage only: call the agency immediately and send the other driver’s insurance certificate and licence copy within 48 hours.
Accident with injuries: tell the police or gendarmerie immediately, then the agency within 48 hours.
Fire or any other incident: tell the agency by any means.

Card payment happens on YACA’s current booking system, under its own terms of sale.
